Program Overview
The BA degree with a major in dance requires 41 credits of courses offered by the Department of Dance. Of the 41 credits, 15 credits of Modern/Contemporary technique, 6 credits of Ballet technique, 3 credits of Dance History and 2 credits of production (crew) courses are required. The remaining credits are chosen upon advisement from among courses in Dance Science/Wellness, Dance in Culture, Production Resources, Pedagogy and Choreography.

Students seeking to complete this major and degree program must meet the general requirements for bachelor's degrees and the general requirements of the College of Arts and Sciences. Students completing this program as a secondary major while completing another undergraduate degree program do not need to satisfy the latter set of requirements.
